The Main Library houses Adult Fiction & Nonfiction, Children’s Department, Movies, Audiobook, CDs, Public Computers, WiFi, and additional community resources. There are also meeting spaces available that are available upon request.
Eckhart Public Library’s historic main library was established in 1910. Charles Eckhart, owner of the Eckhart Buggy Company, offered to build a library for Auburn. Mr. Eckhart ultimately spent more than $40,000 to construct the building. It is now part of the National Register of Historic Places.
