Hoosier Civil War History
Auburn author, Barbara Olenyik Morrow, will discuss her historical fiction children’s book,
A Good Night for Freedom on Saturday, April 28th. Freedom is an underground railroad story
set in the home of famed Hoosier abolitionists Levi and Catharine
Coffin. This book introduces two real-life runaway slaves whose names
Barbara learned researching 19th-century
court records.
Barbara
worked for newspapers for many years and has been a Pulitzer Prize
finalist for editorial writing. She speaks regularly in
schools and libraries and before professional organizations throughout
the state.
