Making Sense of the Civil War

Eckhart Public Library is pleased to be a recipient of grant, which will be used to sponsor Civil War programming throughout the upcoming year.  During the month of February, display cases at the Eckhart Public Library and Willennar Genealogy Center will feature Civil War artifacts.

Jane Gasineau, the former Lincoln Museum curator, will be the keynote speaker for the kickoff of 2012 Civil War events on Monday, February 6th. Barb Morrow, author of Goodnight for Freedom, will share her story at the Thursday, February 9th at the After School Special. Excerpts from American ’s War will be read during both programs.
