We will need a filled out Volunteer Application and Hold Harmless Agreement on file. If you’re under the age of 18, a signature from a parent or guardian is required. Before placement, individuals 18 years and older will be asked to submit to a criminal background check. Return completed forms to the Volunteer Services Department.
We are currently seeking individuals to volunteer in the following areas:
This position includes light trimming and weeding on a weekly basis for the library campus. Must be able to be outdoors and be able to stoop and bend.
Volunteers for shelving books would have flexible schedules, frequent walking, and frequent standing. This position involves the ability to push at least one hundred (100) pounds on wheels. It also involved extensive and repetitive bending, stooping, and reaching.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
TAB is a voluntary group of teenagers representing public, private, and homeschool students in the community. They act as liaisons to The Teen Library. TAB meets the first Friday of every month. All students in grades 6 – 12 are welcome.
Willennar Genealogy Center Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers for the John Martin Smith Collection and the Willennar Genealogy Center as a whole. If you like history, have an eye for detail, and enjoy research and writing you are just the person we’re looking for! Some computer skills are necessary.
